About Social Groups
Everything we do at Accord Center grew out of social groups. We have been creating and teaching social education groups on the South Shore for over seventeen years.
We believe that the best kind of social education is meaningful. Student experiences are grounded in real life, groups are matched with like-minded peers, and opportunities often lead to actual connections and friendships.
To our students, our social programs feel more like a youth group or activity as opposed to just another therapy (Where else does your social group prioritize hopping on the school van for a Dairy Queen run, enjoying an annual “Fakesgiving” dinner, or planning an actual school dance?) Like anything real, our approach may feel a little messy at times, swapping a tidy clinical mindset for an educational experience that comes with a feeling of true belonging.
Every week, students touch on a social theme that is tailored to their age group and the specific needs of participants.
Social groups are now 10-week sessions! $550 per session. There are no programs on the weeks of 10/13, 11/10, and 11/24.
Social Groups
Below are basic grade-level groups. However, groups tend to blend based on various needs. Fall groups begin the week of 9/15/25 and end the week of 12/8/25.
If a group below does not meet your child’s needs, please contact Bruce Frost (brucefrost@theaccordschool.org).
